Used Van Nightmares

If your van was your only means of transport and work, you’d be devastated if something happened to it. The following is an excerpt from an article I was reading:-
What kind of idiot steals a vehicle at 9 am?????
For the first time in a long time I decided to sleep in this morning. So 9 am I was still in bed and I hear my van start…then I hear my mom yelling from the top of the stairs that someone just stole my van. She was still carrying her purse as she thought it was me leaving and was running out with her purse to have me get her some things at the store.
What she seen was a white male wearing a white shirt and a white hat driving off in my van.
From the sound of it, this was a pretty run down van, but even so, it was this family’s only means of transport and also contained some personal possessions.
Thankfully the police did recover it quite quickly and they have started saving towards a more reliable and secure used van.
I have never had any vehicles stolen luckily but it serves to remind me to be more security concious, especially with work vans as they quite often have a lot of expensive stuff in them.
