Etihad, recently crowned Worlds Top Airline and Leading First Class airline, is aiming to make a profit in 2011. Etihad is expanding in 2010 and further improving its staff training, destination network and marketing the product.

They are also introducing new Advanced Business and Economy Class seats along with an in-flight entertainment system by the end of the year.

The expansion plan has included a codeshare agreement with Flybe which has greatly increased its exposure to the UK and European markets. Flights to Dubai are more easily available for many new customers as transfers between Etihad and Flybe flights are all handled on one ticket. A new lounge at Heathrow’s terminal 4 has also been built, identical to the Abu Dhabi facility.

Flybe is the largest European budget airline in Europe and will open up another 55 destinations in Europe and the UK for Etihad.

Etihads new Diamond First Class Suite includes a 23″ TV, a dedicated food and beverage manager, large fully reclining seats, connectivity for everything from an ipod to a laptop and a personal, private changing room. Coral Economy class features  ergonomically designed seats with 10.4″ touchscreens, up to three choices of main meal and 600 hours of in-flight entertainment to choose from.
