Tories To Give M&S Vouchers For Recycling?

Shadow Chancellor George Osborne has unveiled a recycling initiative in which householders would receive up to £130 in vouchers from retailers such as Marks and Spencer as a reward for recycling should they be voted into power next year.
Tory leader David Cameron’s wife famously wore a M&S dress to the party conference this year, but the two subjects aren’t thought to be related.
Mr Osborne went on to say that if elected, the Conservative government would cut carbon emissions by 10%, saving £300 million in energy costs. He added “I want a Conservative Treasury to be in lead of developing the low carbon economy and financing a green recovery.
“For I see in this green recovery not just the fight against climate change, but the fight for jobs, the fight for new industry, the fight for lower family energy bills and the fight for less wasteful government.”
Marks & Spencer is reputed to be the only high street retailer where every woman shops, but I am unsure whether everyone in the country will be trotting in there eagerly every month or however often the vouchers will be awarded. One thing everyone I know does agree on however, is that M&S do good sock and pants, so if nothing else takes our fancy at the time, at least we’ll all have nice underwear.
