Flights To France Amazing Road Signs

Anyone driving, or indeed flying to France this year might be well advised to do some road sign revision.
The environment superministry added 20 new road signs in 2008 including two cleavage shaped half moons which signifies a garden of note, a bunch of grapes signifies ‘wine products’ can be found nearby and a canoe launch site is signified by a man ramming a canoe into the bottom of a lake. A number of other amusing road signs can be found here.
A flight to Paris will confirm that the French are the recognised authority on establishing road signs, started in 1894 with a warning sign erected before a bend on the Route Nationale 7 near Cannes. The British gave the world a triangle shape for warning signs, but no language pictograms are mainly French in origin as are brown signs indications places of interest.
ome French signs have not been a great success however, the famous Toutes Directions (all directions) found in towns, sometimes leading to Autres Directions (other directions). Most confusing.
